Zaklan Farm

Zaklan Heritage Farm in Surrey, BC is looking for part-time and full-time field hands for the 2017 season! Is this farm job for you?

About Zaklan Heritage Farm

We are three young farmers running a small mixed vegetable farm in the heart of Surrey (30 min. drive from Vancouver). In addition to our 1.5 acres in mixed veggie production, we have a flock of laying hens that we rotate around the pasture. Our operation is run with a small walk-behind BCS tractor and hand tools (think Jean-Martin Fortier methods). During the growing season we attend one market a week from May-October, all within 20 min of the farm. We sell and deliver to several restaurants in Vancouver on a weekly basis, as well as running a 60 member CSA program. We are looking for someone with an interest in learning about small scale agriculture, who has a good work ethic and enjoys getting dirty and working hard.  We have all been farming for over 7 seasons and are happy to share the knowledge we have gained during this time with our employees. If you specific learning goals (production or business) we are happy to explore that with you over the season.
