Meet Maddie! She is a mentee in our Business Mento Meet Maddie! She is a mentee in our Business Mentorship Network and operates @FishersFarmNaturalGoods in Sturgeon County, Alberta. Maddie's operation is fully diversified, including an apiary, chickens, ducks, a market garden, and wild foraged crops, all grown using sustainable, low-till farming practices. Are you a storyteller who can plant a seed with a sentence and knows how to grow programs using latest social media trends?⁠ ⁠ We are seeking a dynamic person, capable of working with our team to grow outreach and communications to support new and young ecological farmers in the prairie provinces. If you’re a mix of network coordinator and communicator with farming in your heart, YA is looking for you!⁠ ⁠ 📍 Location: Remote office. They are mentees in our Business Mentorship Network and operate @blooms_on_7 Flower Farm in Sherwood Park, Alberta, where they have a 1/2 acre cut flower farm with over 250 varieties of flowers, and host agritourism opportunities such as Picnic with Alpacas, flower arranging workshops, and Sip & Snip evenings. This year, they're working with their mentor to make their agritourism offerings more profitable and are already making great progress!
