About Twin Island Cider
Twin Island Cider is a small, land-based cidery on Pender Island. Last year we harvested 35,000 pounds of apples and pears from Pender and Mayne Island. We specialize in small batches, wild fermentation, and operate a tasting room throughout the spring and summer season.
We harvest from many backyards and orchards around Pender, so our business is very community-based. Many of the trees we harvest are over eighty years old! We will mainly be touring our new planting of tall-spindle, dwarfing apple trees, however, and talking about the pros and cons of combining high-density models with organic practices.
