Farm Apprenticeships & Internships

Check out the programs, tools and resources below to start learning and training on farms:

YOUNG AGRARIANS APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM – Looking for hands-on farm experience? Young Agrarians and our network of exceptional mentor farmers in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are offering advanced, full-immersions, hands-on paid apprenticeships in regenerative agriculture. We carefully screen host farms, and prospective apprentices complete an application process to apply.

OTHER INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES  – Check out the blog below. These internship opportunities are not a part of the Young Agrarians Apprenticeship Program. Please note that we do not have the capacity to screen host farms. For new and young farmers looking for training opportunities, we highly recommend screening the potential farm to ensure that you are entering into a fair exchange that meets your needs and expectations. Try asking the farm for references from past apprentices or ask people in the community if you are unsure.

Check out these great resources for internships and apprentices on the SOIL website, and visit the Young Agrarians UMAP for more ways to find farm internships or jobs.

POST A PAID INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY – Got a great paid internship opportunity on your farm? Submit the opportunity to us, and we’ll post it on our blog and social media channels to help spread the word.
