Golden Ears Farm, in Chase BC, is hosting a Corn Roast and Farm tour on September 13. Golden Ears is providing a spit-roasted lamb and the corn!  Bring a food item to share, your own plate, cutlery, cup and drinks/money to chip in for a keg of Crannóg beer if you’re interested. Golden Ears is a small co-operative farm community committed to growing healthy food using organic practices, and living as self sufficiently as we can. Its incredible how busy our South Interior Okanagan Young Agrarians hub has been all year long. Young Farmers and Friends have been rocking an event every month since they got going January of this year. From participating as Iron Chefs at the Armstrong IPE this summer, to picking rocks out of a field, tasting beer, learning about bees, bringing young and ‘older’ farmers together at a recent Chat n’ Chew and more – Young Agrarians is stoked about all of the community building going on! Armstrong Apiaries Potluck

Pictures are now up on Facebook from the Crannóg Ales/Left Field Farms potluck and tour on June 16th. What an afternoon that was — such an informative and engaging farm tour, complete with rock-picking contest wherein almost 900 lb of rocks were collected in 10 minutes!!! The brewery tour wasn’t that bad, either:) The tasting was ample and varied, followed by one of the biggest potluck spreads yet.
