Come experience Indigenous food system revitalization and estuary restoration at the Quw’utsun estuary in Duncan, BC!  Join Jared Qwustenuxun Williams, Tom Reid from the Nature Trust of BC, Jennifer Grenz from UBC Indigenous Ecology Lab, and Kristen Miskelly from Satinflower Nurseries for a field day at the Quw’utsun Estuary Food System Revitalization and Estuary Restoration Project! Come on out and lend a hand building berms to improve water holding capacity in the soil, mulching, building paths, transplanting, and weeding out invasive species! Join us at Lohbrunner Community Farm for a farm tour, discussion on cooperatively managing farmland, potluck, and a work party! Learn more about our unique model for stewarding land, and for farmers to gain access to farm land. During the farm tour, we will talk about this model—the land is held in trust by Farm Folk City Folk, managed by the Lohbrunner Community Farm Co-op (LCFC). Farmland parcels are leased by individual farmers.
