What an incredible Prairies Mixer weekend! Thank you to everyone who has participated and supported this gathering. The Young Agrarians (YA) team hosted 94 attendees across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba for community building, knowledge sharing, and storytelling.  Everyone’s enthusiasm to meet new folks, reconnect with their farming acquaintances and eagerness to learn new things made the event buzzing with energy. The first-ever Prairies Mixer is happening on Dec 2-3, 2023 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Calling all regenerative farmers, food growers, local food enthusiasts, and mixed-grass prairie advocates   Join us for a weekend of community building, knowledge sharing, and storytelling! Peace Country Winter Mixer 2020 Recap

A great group of farmers and farmer friends came together during the third Young Agrarians Peace Country Mixer! Camp Tamarack was filled with laughter, knowledge, expertise, interesting and curious talk during the weekend of February 22nd and 23rd, 2020. Farmers traveled from far and wide to be part of the networking and education. The farmer speed dating was a great way for everyone to meet each other! Everyone walked away with a great number of connections after a Mixer! There is strength, kindness, knowledge, support, friendship, wisdom, resources and much more within any farming community. EVENT RECAP: CENTRAL ALBERTA WINTER MIXER 2020

The Central Alberta Winter Mixer was a fantastic weekend full of inspiring and passionate people! Despite the frigid temperatures, more than 80 people participated over the two days. Some highlights of the Mixer included fun networking activities (the Chicken Mingle was a hit!), an impressive potluck and jam session on Saturday evening, farmer slide shows that featured ten different farms, and farmer yoga on Sunday morning with retired-farmer-turned-yoga-teacher Kathleen Charpentier. Over the two days we also had twelve speakers and workshop hosts share their skills and knowledge. What an inspiring first ever 2-day Young Agrarians William’s Lake Winter Mixer! Thanks to everyone who came, to our speakers and to our sponsors. The Williams Lake Winter Mixer brought together  91 people from across our region February 9-10th to learn, share stories and knowledge, and to make new connections.  It was a fantastic, diverse group with lots of familiar faces and a whole bunch of new ones, from people just starting out to farmers and ranchers who’ve been working the fields for many years.
