EVENT RECAP: Farm Tour and Feast at Ebsa Silga’s Farm

On a hot day in August, a beautiful community of people came out to visit and tour Ebsa Silga’s farm just outside of Edmonton. Ebsa immigrated from Ethiopia in 2014 and over the last couple of years has started growing and experimenting with vegetables. Meet the Ethiopian Farmer growing Anchote in Edmonton

The first thing that strikes you when you meet Ebsa is that he is full of energy! He is so passionate about farming and is excited to share that with those around him.  Ebsa is an Ethiopian farmer who moved to Canada in 2014 and grows vegetables right outside of Edmonton. He has 32 acres of leased land, which is divided into blocks of onions, potatoes, corn, kale, chard, and beets.
