EVENT RECAP: Farm Tour at Bent Plow Farm

On September 27, 2021, Young Agrarians, Kootenay & Boundary Farm Advisors and Bent Plow Farm presented the fifth event of the Young Agrarians 2021 Farm Club event series, an evening farm tour and discussion at Bent Plow Farm in Blewett, BC, 10 minutes from Nelson. Despite the drizzle, 23 people showed up to tour the farm with owners and operators Emma and Scott and talk about the ins and outs of market garden production for CSAs, succession planting, irrigation, building soil and more. Young Agrarians is celebrating the eighth year of the Business Mentorship Network (BMN) program. The BMN offers business mentorships  to a diverse array of new and young farmers across BC.
