Farmsteading 101; An intensive workshop in the lovely Slocan Valley, with Verge Permaculture, Brought to you by The West Kootenay Permaculture Co-op , (your friends at Kootenay Food!)
Workshop Friday & Saturday May 13+14
Rob & Michelle Avis own & operate two successful businesses: Verge Permaculture & Adaptive Habitat. They are not farmers, but have worked closely with many farms. In this workshop, they will share their arms-length perspective, tools and principles of great value to farm businesses.
On DAY ONE, Michelle will cover an overview of the Holistic Management Framework, and demonstrate how this tool has become perhaps the most valuable tool in their toolbox, helping them and their clients make swift, seamless, profitable and sustainable decisions – big and small – that reflect their true passions, goals, and resources.
On DAY TWO, Rob will discuss three key principles to establishing a successful business; introduce the concept of being peerless (i.e. unequal or unrivalled) and present principles of peerless farming. The workshop will end with group interaction and dialogue to share information, gather collective wisdom around our unique regional opportunity and build relationships.
TWO-DAY Workshop: $70 | One-Day Only: $35 | Co-op Members receive 10% discount!
