ABOUT UMINAMI FARM

Uminami Farm specializes in year-round organic vegetable production. We also grow many types of fruit. Using unheated greenhouses and outdoor fields, we grow Japanese specialty crops as well as many Western vegetables. Check them out on Facebook!

Heather (our amazing host, tour guide and tiller maintenance teacher for this event) started as an apprentice at Uminami Farm in 2010 and joined the owner, Yoshiko, as a business partner as of 2014.

IMPORTANT REQUESTS FOR VISITORS…

Please make sure your footwear is free of soil from other farms when you arrive at Uminami Farm. We recommend to wash your footwear well before going back to other farms, as we’ve had instances of both white rot and clubroot.

Kids are welcome if they’re well supervised. No dogs or other animal companions please (get in touch and let me know if you want to bring a certified assistance dog with you).

Also, please bring your own plates, cups and utenils for the potluck 🙂

GREAT! HOW DO I GET THERE?
