Farming Focus Groups

The BC Ministry of Agriculture is coordinating focus groups to develop their New Entrants to Farming Strategy.

They are currently recruiting for two web-based focus groups:

  1. Are you planning to enter farming or ranching in the next 10 years? (Prospective)

  2. Within the last 10 years, did you start or consider starting a career in farming, but then decide not to continue? (Unrealized)

The total time commitment is 1-3 hours and participants will receive a $75 gift card.

To Participate

Anyone who would like to take part in online focus groups can contact Malatest toll-free 1-866-247-6465 and refer to the Agriculture Focus Group.

About the Web-Based Focus Groups

This phase of the project will be focused on gaining a better understanding of how individuals choose to enter farming or ranching, and the barriers they may face in the process.

The bulletin-board-style focus groups will take place over three days, where participants will log in at their convenience to participate in a moderated discussion.

  1. Hello, is this still available? The ad states mid-Feb and its now Feb 27th so just wondering if I can still participate, thanks!

    1. Hi Tara,

I believe it’s been delayed. Definitely call as soon as you can! They just asked us to promote this initiative at the end of last week.

      Cheers,
      Michi
