Join us for an evening of great music, local food and drink specials, hands-on activities, and all the garden puns as we sow the seeds for a good time. This event is a fundraiser to support the growth of the Peace Garden for years to come. This is an opportunity for gardeners, growers, and friends to come together, talk dirty, and get excited for the season ahead.
ABOUT The VIU Community Peace Garden
The garden germinated in 2008, and serves as a space for learning, gathering, and relationship building with nature and the food we depend on. We all eat for a living. Food growing, seed saving, plant medicine, identification and traditional ecological knowledge are all essential skills that we take with us on our lifelong journey. You are invited to participate in this nurturing space, to get your hands dirty, and to help cultivate community.
Featuring: Seed Bomb Making Station, Body Painting, Community Peace Garden Booth, Seed Sales, ART, Prizes, Party Favours, and DJ’s. Local food and drink specials featuring herbs from our garden, and local produce.
