Posted by Fai Hui on May 25, 2022

We have more land opportunities than what is listed here! Get in touch with a Land Matcher at land@youngagrarians.org to access our full land inventory and B.C. Land Matching Program support in your region.

ABOUT THE LAND

This 3 acre property in Richmond is available for a fruit grower. There are over 150 fruit trees on the property. These include: apple, pear, Asian pear, fig, apricot, cherry, peach, plum and hazelnut trees. The trees are fruiting and have plentiful harvest.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The landholder is making the land available, at no cost, to an experienced or aspiring orchardist using sustainable methods (no chemicals). This is a great opportunity for a grower that would like to develop their skills both in taking care of the trees (pruning, havesting, irrigating, fertilising, plant protection, etc)  and developing a small business. In taking care of the trees, the grower will be rewarded with bountiful harvests that can be sold as fresh fruit or jams.
