Howdy all! I’m Kristen Nammour and I am just wrapping up my second year of farming at Sea Bluff Farm, which is a certified organic 6 acre mixed vegetable farm that maintains year round production.

In addition to two seasons of farming, I have a business background in marketing and administration and am excited to have joined the Young Agrarians team to act as the program coordinator for the Land Linking and Business Mentorship Network.

Young Agrarians will host a series of Land Linking workshops throughout BC that will bring together new and established farmers, as well as community stakeholders to explore the alternatives and resources for accessing agricultural land. Expect to see these events happening in the new year!

Young Agrarians also wants to empower new farmers to take on the business skills that will allow their farms to thrive. We are launching a Business Mentorship Network that will pair new farmers with some of the veterans of small scale agriculture to cultivate the skills for running ecologically sustainable and financially viable businesses. We think this will be hugely beneficial to the young agrarians we serve and hope you will take some time to apply. For more information on the program and application visit our new Business page.
