Kootenay Coop True Local Supplier Seminar Agenda

Note: This event is intended for active producers/ processors or those already in start-up phase, so that we may tailor sessions and discussions to be as relevant as possible for our suppliers. We look forward to organizing more educational events that are tailored to a broader audience in the near future.

About: The Kootenay Co-op has a long history of true support for local vendors that goes back to their inception in 1975 and they continue to build on that commitment as they expand their co-operative business.

Their promise to their members and community is that they will only consider themselves successful in their growth if their local suppliers keep pace with, or exceed, their own growth rates.

“Purchasing from True Local suppliers is an investment in the future of our food security and the economy of the area that immediately surrounds us. Every effort will be made to support agricultural and food processing initiatives in our area that are in line with our Buying Guidelines and values.”*
