Over the last few months our region’s young agrarians have had lots of reasons to connect. From the joys of the YA Koots Mixer and Farm Food Fork gatherings to local community food events, from Seedy Saturdays to the demands of understanding what Bill 24 will mean for our “zone”… all us farmers, foodies, and friends have been pulled together in rich ways.
Let’s keep it up!
Young Agrarians is over-the-moon happy to announce on-farm events happening this summer and early fall. We’ll be collaborating with farmers from across our fine region, all of them passionate about building Kootenay agriCULTURE.

July 12: Make Our Beds Work-Bee!, Dirty Beds Produce, Crawford Bay
July 26: Farm Tour & Potluck, Willow Springs Organic Farm, Salmo Valley

Stay tuned for posts on each of the events.
Also… it’s not too late to get a YA event going wherever you are or to help make one awesome. If you are interested in hosting a potluck, workshop, work-bee, or other gathering, we want to hear from you! If you are interested in volunteering somehow, let us know! Email kootenays@youngagrarians.org.
Thanks to Columbia Basin Trust, Town of Creston, and Regional District of Central Kootenay Areas E and H for supporting YA events in the Kootenays!
