About Sunworks Farm
Sunworks Farm is a certified organic farm that grows chicken, turkey, beef, pork and eggs. Ron and Sheila Hamilton moved to the farm in 1992 having never farmed before. On the advice of a friend they took a 10 day holistic management course which taught them a whole farm planning system that took into account the environmental, economic and social issues farmers face today. They soon discovered the demand for quality organic meat in Alberta and started selling at farmers markets. As they raised more meat, the demand grew and in the summer of 2001 Ron was able to quit surveying and stay home full time. You can now find their products in retail stores across Alberta.
Ron and Sheila and their family strongly believe in the principals of organic, humane and sustainable farming. They believe that these principles help not only the environment but also human health. They want to give as many people as possible access to healthy clean food. They continue to learn and do everything they can to better the environment, the health of their animals and the health of their customers and family.

Edmonton is approx. 1 hour away from the farm and Camrose is approx. 25 min away.
Coming from Edmonton: get onto Hwy 21 going South towards Camrose. On Hwy 21, approx. 10km past the town of Hay Lakes, there is Secondary Hwy 616. Turn West (Right) onto 616. We are the second house on the south side of the road (red star on map). (3.1km down 616) There will be a Sunworks sign at the end of the laneway and the blue county property sign reads 21331 Sec Hwy 616.
Coming from Camrose: Get onto Hwy 13 heading towards Wetaskiwin. At the Junction of Hwy 13 and 21 (a roundabout intersection) turn North onto Hwy 21. On Hwy 21 take your first West turn after Armena onto secondary Hwy 616. We are the second house on the South side of the road. (red star on map) (approx. 3.1km west on hwy 616.) There will be a Sunworks sign at the end of the laneway and the blue county property sign reads 21331 Sec Hwy 616.
