rosyfarm-haskap-1 About Rosy Farms

Rosy Farms is a cutting edge Haskap Orchard. Specializing in growing Haskap fruit.
They are the new super fruit in North America. Proven to be 3 times the antioxidants and 5 times the anti-inflammatory as a high bush blue berry, the previous titan of healthy fruit.

In our second year we have planted 18,000 haskaps.

We use a mix of holistic and sustainable farming practices to grow the highest quality haskaps possible. Working with our environment, maximizing fruit quality and production.
In the spring of 2019 or 2020 we will be constructing a IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) facility on site. Which will extend our sales window, maximizing profits. The facility will be open for rent to other haskap growers in Alberta. The mission is to create a processing hub for haskap production

Rosy Farms is one of the Co-Founders of

  • Alberta Haskap Association
  • North 49 Fruit Corporation- nonprofit sales and marketing company for Canadian haskaps fruit.

Farmer Andrew Rosychuk has spent the last 12 years travelling the country to learn from farmers, pushing the limits of innovation, and is excited about sharing the future of haskaps farming.

Farm Tour

The most exciting aspect of Rosy Farms is how we are creating a sustainable and stable industry for haskaps fruit. Allowing new farmers to grow their dreams and guiding existing farmers in diversifying their crops. We are helping to bring a whole new industry into Alberta. Think about it, we have the opportunity to bring the blue berry industries of the east and west coast into our own back yards. We will explain how this is possible and who we are stabilizing this new industry.

We will wander through the farm explain and demonstrating soil biology/ soil food web, haskaps production methods, the current state of haskaps in the prairies and across Canada, plant biology, native pollination, orchard methodology, farm diversification- Sea buckthorn and Brianna Lutz will explain the amazing health benefits of the fruit. All while freely picking ripe haskaps when walking through Rosy Farms. Pick at your own leisure.
