Earthwise Society’s annual Hundred-Mile Banquet will be coming back for an eighth season on Sunday, December 11!

The talented Chef Derek Bothwell will lead the creation of the gourmet 5-course locally-sourced menu. Guests will be amazed by the tastes of the region and may be surprised to learn what is available right here where we live. There will also be an auction held with a range of high-quality items showcasing our local region.

As the signature fundraiser for the Earthwise Society, all profits made from the Hundred-Mile Banquet are invested right back into the community. Every year, Earthwise educates hundreds of schoolchildren about food and a healthy environment, donates thousands of pounds of fresh produce for those in need through the Delta Food Coalition, and promotes mental health through its therapeutic horticulture program.

A place where you can really make a difference this holiday season is in your own backyard – look locally to community non-profits.

Tickets are $150 or four for $500, and a charitable tax receipt for $65 will be issued to each guest. Tickets can be bought on Eventbrite at , through phone at 604-946-9828 or by email at info@earthwisesociety.bc.ca.

About Earthwise Society

Earthwise Society is a catalyst for the creation of sustainable communities through empowering individuals to take responsibility for social, economic and environmental well-being.

Our approach is based on the belief that individual choices do matter.  By working together with others in our local communities, we can create a sustainable future.

Earthwise Society operates the Boundary Bay Earthwise Garden and organic Earthwise Farm on a three-acre site in Tsawwassen, British Columbia. This beautiful and unique facility models sustainable practices and provides opportunities for active learning and stewardship.

The Earthwise Garden demonstrates that it is possible to have a healthy, beautiful landscape without the use of chemicals.

The Earthwise Farm puts the community in touch with food, where it comes from, how it grows, the ecological costs of getting it to our tables, and the importance of sustainable growing practices.
