ABOUT THE LAND
This 1/2 acre parcel is part of a larger hops and sheep farm located on farmland just outside of Ladner. The fenced in plot has full sun all day, and access to water and electricity. The landowner plans to install irrigation for the plot and add an adjacent hoop house that will be made available for the farmers use. Compost made from brewery waste, sheep bedding and manure is available to enrich the soil. There is opportunity to expand the land under cultivation.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This farm and brewery in Delta is looking for a collaborative market gardener interested in growing food for an onsite farm-to-table restaurant and farmgate sales. Opportunity exist for onsite accommodation.
This is ideal for growers who are interested in having a secured market for their produce through the farm’s farmgate sales and farm-to-table restaurant. The ideal candidate would have some market garden production experience. There is potential housing on site for the right single farmers or couples. This opportunity will require maturity, a collaborative mindset and the ability to work well with others.
There are barns and coolers for storage, and field equipment such as tractor/tiller available for use.
Ideally, the landholder would like to find someone as soon as possible for the coming season.

Hello, I am very interested in the land lease program and would like to receive more information about how the program actually works? Thank you.
I would like to compare the advantage to leasing vs. purchasing land and how the young agrarian program works for the young entrepreneurs who really want to make this a long term endeavor. I would really like to look at the long term benefits and ROI considering the over all investment etc.
