JUNE 26: McKees Mills, NB – FAWN Meetup at Windy Hill Farm

Posted by Bernard Soubry on June 15, 2016

It’s that time again—after an incredible visit to Wysmykal Farm in May, the Farm Apprentices and Workers Network is heading North to New Brunswick!

Where: Windy Hill Farm, 5054 Route 115 – McKees Mills, New Brunswick

When: 11:00, 26 June 2016

What: Barn-clearing! Brownies! Buckwheat salad!

What should I bring?  Work clothes! Some food to share! Endless curiosity and optimism!

You know it, you love it: come join ace farmer Alyson Chisholm and the FAWN crew for a fantastic Sunday of clearing out the barn, digging into some delicious food, and exploring the wonders of Windy Hill Farm. We’ll show up around 11:00, give the farm some of our extra energy, eat some delicious food, and have a look around at the farm operation—all with the purpose of discovery and knowledge exchange—about farming and apprenticeship, but also about who makes the best rhubarb pie.

Windy Hill runs a small-scale veggie CSA, a provincially famous stand at the Dieppe Market, and raises goats for milk and cheese and meat. You can find out more about them here.
