Registration is now open for the Farm Resilience Mentorship Program (FaRM)! Network and learn alongside other farmers in this free and flexible peer-to-peer program.
FaRM provides free resources, mentorship, and peer-to-peer learning and networking opportunities in these three Beneficial Management Practices (BMP) streams:
- Advanced Nitrogen Management
- Advanced Grazing Systems
- Cover Cropping
FaRM is a comprehensive learning hub to equip you with concrete tools to adopt practices that are good for the environment and your bottom line. Through FaRM, you’ll have opportunities to troubleshoot and brainstorm with other farmers, and receive input from Mentors.
There are three ways to participate:
- Workshops: Online workshops for BC producers are happening for Nitrogen Management and Cover Cropping streams in early December and January.
- Online Courses: Learn at your own pace through a series of modules and exercises
- Mentorship: Ongoing 1:1 mentorship is available, as well as monthly “kitchen table meetups” with farmers in your region.
Everyone is welcome to enroll, but the program will be most useful to medium-large scale row and field croppers and graziers using conventional or organic methods. Workshops are tailored to producers in the Peace, Columbia Basin and Thompson-Okanagan regions, but everyone is welcome to join.
