ABOUT Fairmeade Estate
Fairmeade Estate is a 157 acre farm that includes the 1940’s Farm Lodge, three workers cottages, a managers cottage, 12 stall livery, dairy barn, 5000 square foot barn, horse shed and outbuildings.
On site equipment includes farm tractor/tiller/attachments, mini-back hoe and general farm equipment. Experience in tractor and small equipment operation is a definite asset.

DESIRED QUALITIES
- This is a unique opportunity for ‘hands on learning’ from an experienced
Viticulturist on the cultivation and maintenance of a vineyard - The position is well suited to a person who enjoys general labour in the
outdoors, in all weather conditions - A passion for sustainable farming and healthy living
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining basic farming equipment, including
machinery, tractor work with various attachment - Excellent communication skills working as part of a team
- Experience working in viticulture would be an asset, interest in growing and
developing a vineyard is essential
POSITION TASKS
- You will work and learn directly with our Vineyard Manager
- This is an ideal position for anyone interested in a career in viticulture and the
wine industry - Duties include strenuous general labour tasks, including handling material up
to 20kg, on uneven ground - Willingness to work with and learn from our Vineyard Manger from seedling
development, daily care through to harvesting
POSITION DETAILS
Term: Position would start as soon as available through October, 2026. This role has the opportunity to become a full-time position.
Hours per week: As a full time position it is anticipated the work week to total 40 hrs. This may include working over weekends.
Wage: Base rate for this position is $22 to $27 per hour based on experience
