Grovenland Farm in Lanigan, SK is hiring a farm hand for the 2019 season!
About Grovenland Farm
Grovenland farm is third generation family run farm in rural Saskatchewan. We have been operating in our current configuration for nearly 8 years, and are ready to hire our first staff to keep up with demand. We have hosted many wwoofers and other short and long term volunteers and have enjoyed working with everyone who has come to the farm. We operate a small one acre market garden and CSA throughout the summer, and have a variety of pasture raised livestock year round. We have three quarter sections (480 acres total) that we use for yard, gardens, pasture and hay land. Currently we have focused our farming endeavour in four areas, grass finished beef, heritage breed pastured pigs, pastured chickens (both for meat and eggs) and a full complement of vegetables being sold at local farmers market and through a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.
Our farm continues to grow and evolve to follow our skills, passions and dreams. We believe in producing good food for our neighbours and community in a way that is environmentally sustainable and just for all of creation. We are not certified organic, although much of our farm follows organic practices. Rather than shipping organic grain for our pigs and chickens we are sourcing local grains from neighbours that meet our stipulations. We are proud of our farm and love to share it with others, so we welcome visitors to the farm anytime. We have taken Holistic Management and are influenced by permaculture and apply those techniques to our farm.
