You’re invited to a Farm Tour and Potluck at SilverStar Veggies in Vernon, BC!
We’ll enjoy a tour of SilverStar Veggies, a farm located on the edge of Vernon in the beautiful North Okanagan. Established in 2021 on land leased through the B.C. Land Matching Program, the farm grows a variety of vegetables, herbs, and fruit. As the owners and operators of SilverStar Veggies, Eric and Miho enjoy combining traditional and modern farming techniques to grow high-quality produce for their community.
During the tour, Eric and Miho will share their experience of scaling up their farm over the past five years while operating on leased land. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions about farm start-up, vegetable production, land sharing, and Eric and Miho’s farming journeys at the end of the tour. The event will wrap up with a light potluck meal, with plenty of time to socialize.
Haley, the Land Matcher for the Okanagan-Thompson region, will also be there to discuss how she can help you find a farmer for your land, or farmland where you can build your dream farm business. If you’re curious what land matching is all about – or just want to check out what your local farmers are up to – come on out to explore SilverStar Veggies!

Eric has been working in various types of agriculture both in Ireland and in Canada for over 20 years. Eric’s farming passion was always rooted in growing vegetables and herbs, and he takes pleasure from seeing people enjoying the fruits of his labour. Miho’s passion for food began while backyard gardening and foraging in the North Vancouver forests where she grew up. Her professional background in French fine dining further grew her love for top-quality ingredients and the freshest of produce. After meeting Eric, the idea of SilverStar Veggies was born, and Miho decided to transition into a different aspect of the food system. Eric and Miho are grateful to be a part of the local, sustainable food network that is feeding their community!
