If you would like to participate in this study by completing a survey, you can contact Dr John Devlin (details below) and he will send you a unique link to a survey. It will take about 30mins. The results of this research will be a great resource for CSA farmers who are usually all about innovation, collaboration and adaptability!
Dear CSA Farmer:
We are researchers from the Rural Planning and Development program at the University of Guelph inviting you to participate in a study on CSAs across Canada. The purpose of the study is to explore the idea of the CSA as an agricultural innovation and identify reasons for the adoption of the CSA as a strategy. The survey should take about 30 minutes to complete.
This research is part of a larger project on the diffusion of innovations in small and medium businesses. The research has been partially funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and has been reviewed by the University of Guelph Ethics Board.
The survey results will be summarized in a research summary report as well as various journal articles. Your contact information has been compiled from online sources and will be retained until the survey is completed. At the end of the project your contact information will be deleted from the survey data. No individual information will be included in any reports. By completing the survey you are indicating that you understand and accept these conditions. If you choose to leave your e-mail address at the end of
the survey, we will be happy to share the research summary report with you when our analysis is complete.
We hope that you will choose to participate. we think the results of the research will be useful for farmers, CSA members, farmer associations and other relevant food and farming organizations and various levels of government to better understand and help to grow the CSA sector.
Thanks in advance for your participation.
Sincerely,
Dr. John Devlin & Meredith Davis
