“Your mind is a garden, your thoughts are seeds, and the harvest can either be flowers or weeds.” ~ Unknown

Join us at the BC Seed Gathering to let your thoughts blossom into beautiful flowers—and beautiful weeds—because let’s be honest here, many weeds are edible and perform many important functions on Earth. Moreover, seeds provide food for fuel to feed our thoughts.

The BC Seed Gathering is a unique opportunity to use those thoughts, to learn and engage in ecological seed production, plant breeding and local seed systems. The Gathering also offers a valuable experience for new and experienced seed growers, seed advocates, aggies, gardeners, students, academics and professionals.

BC Seed Gathering

The aim of The BC Seed Gathering is to provide a platform for seed enthusiasts to increase the supply, quality and diversity of seed in BC as well as increase access to good seed.  This year’s sessions provide many great opportunities to delve into specific aspects of seed production, from breeding techniques to marketing models, and will also provide a space for collaboration from folks across the seed spectrum to come together in one place!

In addition to learning, engagement and strategizing there is a special opportunity for networking while enjoying great food and beverages from local artisans!
