Northlands Urban Farm in Edmonton, AB is recruiting a summer student to work May through August. A young person whose interests and experience include both urban agriculture and education would be ideal! Working as a member of the Agriculture team, the Urban Farm Education Coordinator will work primarily at the Northlands Urban Farm where you will engage hundreds of visitors in several environmentally beneficial activities related to urban agriculture. The 2nd Annual Central Alberta Winter Mixer brought together around 65 people from January 12-13th to learn, share stories and knowledge, and to make new connections. What a lovely group of new and old faces to spend the weekend with! We were able to close out this mixer feeling inspired and excited about the future of farming in this region.
