Tricylce Acres is a family homestead whose story is in many ways typically Kootenay.  In 2010, Shauna and Dylan, two former-Calgary kids and their daughter came to the Slocan in search of a simpler, truer, more creative way of living.  What they have fostered on their property deeply embodies the permaculture principles of earth care and people care.

Over the years, family, friends, neighbours, travellers, and interns have helped to create a home-place that showcases alternative building, energy, food production, and community systems.  The discovery that has unfolded has inspired Shauna and Dylan to develop all kinds of co-operative food systems building projects, as well as experiential learning ventures, including the amazing Homesteading 101 workshop series.

Come tour Tricycles Acres, learn about the work that the smallholding has inspired, and share good food with other young agrarians.
