LAND OPPORTUNITY: 1+ ACRES IN RICHMOND, BC

Posted by Darcy Smith on March 14, 2018

ABOUT THE LAND

The property consists of 6 acres of land in Richmond with a farmer currently running a greenhouse operation on a portion of the property. The farmer lives on site. The land has been fallow for five years, and is currently quite overgrown. At one point, it was used to cultivate Asian vegetables. There are drainage ditches on each side of the property. Neighbouring the property on one side is a greenhouse operation, and on the other a blueberry farm.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

1 acre, potentially more, available for lease as for vegetable production. The current tenant has plans to expand the greenhouse operation but would guarantee at least an acre long term. There are a number of storage areas, including cold storage, available, and space to set up a wash stand, etc. The front of the property has a number of blackberry bushes, and some fruit trees, including apples and pears, that a farmer could harvest. Maintaining farm status would be a requirement of the lease.
