About Fresh Valley Farms
Come on out and see our diverse family operated farm! With four generations currently living on the land this is a pastured livestock farm where we are always interested in improving our self-sufficiency and increasing the on-farm diversity of our food supply. This year we have a compost-pile heating water—a project feasible for anyone with a pile of poop and some wood chips or straw. We will talk about our increasingly popular meat CSA program and what is important to us regarding our animals’ quality of life.
We are a growing business currently in the process of securing access to a rental commercial kitchen for creating our own value added products. While we have an established customer base for our current product line we are interested in decreasing waste and using the most of every animal by starting to make bone broths, different types of charcuterie and even raw dog food with what doesn’t fit in anywhere else.
The farm olympics will be an active hour to give you an idea of some of the work we do on the farm. While helping us to get some little (and big) jobs done teams will compete to win some delicious Fresh Valley Farm product valued at $250! All ages are welcome to participate, but you have to be comfortable with getting your shoes dirty!
