FoodFlicks: Spring Edition is a new event hosted by FarmFolk CityFolk, in partnership with Slow Food Okanagan and Okanagan College’s Culinary Foods Program.

On June 10th join us to Celebrate the Bees – with honey-themed nibbles (from Culinary Arts Students), honey wine tastings (with Meadow Vista Honey Wines), a screening of the award-winning film ‘Queen of The Sun’ and a facilitated discussion to wrap up the night.

Anyone who buys a ticket before this Friday, May 22, at noon, will go into a draw to attend a fabulous 3 hour Pasta Workshop this Sunday at the Wine Sensory Lab at Okanagan College (Penticton). Chef Chris Van Hooydonk from Backyard Farm in Oliver will demonstrate the art of making beautiful pasta at home. Learn how to create ricotta gnocchi and other pasta, as well as sauces to serve with your pasta, featuring local ingredients. Wine pairings will be poured and discussed by winemaker Bill Eggert from Fairview Cellars. This is a hands-on workshop, with a maximum class size of 12. The value is $89 and 2 names will be drawn!
