Join us for an evening of chicken education with poultry science professionals!
This workshop is aimed at current small flock owners, or those planning to become poultry people! We hope to address common questions and concerns for those raising poultry in a non-commercial setting to help you keep your birds happy and healthy.
The workshop will address chicken anatomy, egg production, biosecurity for your flock, chicken feed and feeding, which chicken breed is right for you, normal and abnormal chicken behaviour, poultry housing and more! You will receive handouts covering the topics of the workshop, resources for raising your chickens and contact information for poultry veterinarians.
